José Orlando Padrón founded the company in Miami in 1964, with its factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
The 1964 Anniversary Series, released in 1994 for the 30th anniversary, uses aged tobacco and a box-pressed format, and became a New World benchmark in Natural and Maduro wrappers.
