Cohiba

Cohiba was born in 1966 at the El Laguito factory in Havana, originally rolled for the Cuban government as diplomatic gifts, and released to the public only in 1982. The name comes from the Taíno word for tobacco.

The brand uses leaf from the finest vegas of the Vuelta Abajo, and its ligero and seco leaves undergo an extra barrel fermentation credited for its smoothness. Lines include the Línea Clásica, Línea 1492 (the Siglos), Maduro 5 and the ultra-premium Behike.
